RealWebcams is what the rest of the cam directory space was before private equity got involved. Built by viewers, for viewers, with the explicit goal of staying small enough that we never have to take an investment round, hire a growth marketing team, or quietly start running pop-unders to please a quarterly KPI. The ranking algorithm is documented in plain English on our /about page. The affiliate links are clearly disclosed. The editorial calls are made by humans whose names you can find on our team page.
We list models from the four major networks — Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams — without preferential treatment. Each room is reviewed for stream quality and category fit by an actual human, not a scraper. If a performer is on our home page, it's because someone on our team genuinely thinks she belongs there. That kind of human curation does not scale to a hundred-thousand-room catalog, and that is exactly the point.

About this project
RealWebcams was bootstrapped in Berlin in late 2024 by a four-person collective with backgrounds in indie tech publishing and the adult performer rights space. We share an apartment-sized office, we share a single Mongo cluster, and we share a long-standing belief that adult content directories can be transparent, ethical, and still profitable without optimising for the lowest common denominator. The site is intentionally minimal in design and feature scope because that is what we wanted as users.
Money comes from affiliate commissions paid by the cam networks when a visitor opens a paid account on their platform via one of our outbound links. We disclose this on every page. We don't run pop-unders, we don't sell viewer email lists (we don't collect them), and we don't accept payment from performers or studios to influence ranking. If we ever pivot away from any of these principles, we'll write a long blog post explaining the change and invite you to argue with us in the comments.
